Lenovo group, the world's largest maker of personal computers, reported a 25 percent jump in fourth-quarter profit as its desktop models and has also witnessed rise in smartphone sales. Recently, the company lauched five Andorid phones in the Indian market and not too long ago, the Chinese tech major was rumored to come up with a high-end handset.
And looks like, the same smartphone has hit the web with if first official leak, yes we are talking about Lenovo Golden Warrior S8. The handset is already listed on vopmart at the price of $199.80 ( Rs. 11,687 approx). The handset, as the name suggests comes with a gold color casing, which gives it a very classy and elegant look.
The aforementioned site further reveals the full specs of the Golden Warrior S8 from Lenovo. Moreover, it has also posted a gallery of images along with its specs. However, Lenovo has not officially announced the handset so far.
The smartphone is pretty competitive in terms of specs as well. According to the online retailer vopmart, it comes with a 5.3-inch LTPS touchscreen display capable of delivering a 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. It comes protected by Gorilla Glass. The slim looking handset is powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core MediaTek MTK6592M processor, with Mali-450 graphics and 2GB of RAM. To the disadvantage of the smartphone, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system comes right out of the box. The Golden Warrior S8 comes with a 16GB of internal memory, and with a microSDmemory card slot capable of supporting up to 32GB of additional storage.
Also a decent imaging hardware has been used in the handset. On the back, the Lenovo Golden Warrior S8 features a 13-megapixel camera with auto focus, F2.2 large aperture, HDR, and full HD video recording. At the front there is a 5-megapixel snapper. This in not 4G LTE supported device. However, other connectivity options like 3G (TD-SCDMA 1880/2010MHz), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, microUSB, and built-in GPS receiver can be found in the handset. Further, the online retailer says that the smartphone is dual-SIM supported.
The device which measures 146 x 76.7 x 7.9mm (5.75 x 3.02 x 0.31 inch) and weighs 146 grams is powered by a 2000mAh battery. Lenovo's Golden Warrior S8 is obviously not at all a flagship handset but it can be called a decent handset with a conspicuous design and color. Sadly, there is no information as to whether the device will be released outside the native market or not.
