Lenovo K900, P780, S920, S820, A706 and A390 Out Now in India: Everything You Need To Know

Lenovo has surprised the smartphone market by recently launching a series of smartphones from budget to high end range in India. In a launch event in Delhi today, the company launched its whole range including K900, P780, S920, S820, A706 and A390.

All the newly launched Lenovo smartphones range for the Indian market will cost between Rs 8,689 to Rs 26,399 and all the devices have a common internal storage capacity of 4 GB which is expandable up to 32GB via microSD.

To start with the Lenovo K900, it is claimed to be the thinnest phone with 6.9mm thickness and weighs only 162g. The phablet was first unveiled at the CES this year in January. The company claims that the Lenovo K900 is the first smartphone which is powered by the Intel Z2580 processor, a dual core chip, which runs up to 2.0 GHz.

Display

The K900 comes with a 5.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with HD display and 16M colors with a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels. The screen offers a pixel density of 401 ppi. It has a Gorilla Glass 2 to protect the screen from scratches.

Camera

On the camera front, the k900 has a 13 megapixel rear camera with Sony Exmor BSI sensor. The camera also has autofocus and LED flash. The front facing camera consist of 2 megapixel for video calling.

Processor, OS and RAM

Lenovo K900 runs on Android OS, v4.2 (Jelly Bean) powered by a dual-core 2 GHz processor and an Intel Atom Z2580 chipset. The powerful K900 is also supported by 2GB RAM.

Connectivity

Connectivity options in K900 are 2G, 3G, GPRS, EDGE, WLAN, WiFi, Bluetooth and microUSB v2.0.

Storage and battery

The K900 comes with a comes with a stunning 16GB internal storage capacity which can be expanded to 32 GB via microSD. The 5.5 inch phablet is powered by non-removable Li-Ion 2500 mAh battery.

Price and availability

Priced at Rs 32,999, the Lenovo K900 smartphone will be available at all Lenovo retail stores across India from July 2013.

Lenovo P780

Lenovo P780 is a smartphone with a massive battery of 4000 mAh which claims to provide the best battery life among current generation handsets. Priced at Rs 22,529, the Lenovo P780 comes with a 1.2 GHz quad core MT 6589 processor supported by 1GB RAM and has 5-inch IPS that gives a resolution of 1280×720 pixels. The P780 runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean Platform. The device has an 8 MP rear camera along with the front facing VGA Camera. The device houses a 4GB of internal storage capacity that can be extended up to 32 GB via microSD.

Lenovo S920

It has a big 5.3 inch IPS display with 1280x720 pixel resolution. This 7.9 mm thick smartphone has 4 GB internal storage that is expandable up to 32 GB via microSD slot. The device is powered by 1.2 GHz Mediatek quad core processor backed by 1 GB RAM and runs on Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean Platform. The S920 sports an 8 megapixel rear camera and a 2 megapixel front camera.

Lenovo S920 weighs only 154.2 grams and is powered by 2250 mAh battery. It is priced at Rs 24,399.

Lenovo S820

This newly announced handset too is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad core Mediatek 6589 processor backed by 1 GB RAM. Lenovo S820 runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system. The device houses a 4 GB internal storage capacity whcih can be expanded up to 32 GB via. microSD slot. The latest S820 sports a staggering 12 megapixel rear camera and a 2 megapixel front camera.

Its 4.6 inch HD IPS 720p display has 720x1280 pixel resolution. This 8.9 mm thick smartphone has a 2000 mAh battery and is priced at Rs 19,599.

Lenovo A706

Lenovo A706 smartphone sports a 4.5 inch IPS screen which has 854x480 pixels resolution. The smartphone runs on a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8225Q quad core processor which is assisted by 1 GB RAM. The A706 runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Platform. It comes with Dolby Digital plus sound technology and has a 5 megapixel auto focus rear camera and a VGA front camera. It is powered by 2000 mAh battery and features WiFi and Bluetooth as well.

Lenovo A706 is priced at Rs 15,949.

Lenovo A390

Lenovo A390 has a 4 inch display with 233 pixel density.

This model is the budget device and has a lowest of the price comparatively. A390 is an Android ICS based device which comes with 512 MB RAM. This device has a 4 GB internal storage which can be expandable up to 32 GB by external microSD. The device is powered by 1 GHz dual core Mediatek 6577 processor. A390 sports a 5 megapixel rear camera and is priced at Rs 8,689.

Sadly, there is no front camera in this smartphone. It has WiFi, Bluetooth, and micro USB for connectivity.
