Lenovo S920 In Depth Review: Punchy Performer, Stunning Entertainer
Buttons and Jacks
You'll find a nice, little power button right above the screen and speaker. Apart from that, there's a volume rocker on the edge of the right top corner. Three capacitive buttons dominate the area right under the screen. The one in the center is the home button, while you'll find a return button on the right and menu button on the left.
To the right of the power button, you'll find a headphone jack and to its left you'll see a mini-USB port for charging and PC-connectivity.
Screen
At 5.3 inches, the device's HD IPS display manages to churn out a resolution of1280 x 720 Pixels. For the price point, the device's display happens to be perfect. Visuals are rich and crisp, colors are vivid and the screen is bright and radiant. Viewing images and watching videos will be be nothing short of wonderful. Everything is clear and visible, even when you're viewing the screen in bright sunlight.
Touch Response
The phablet's touch screen is responsive and solid for most of the time, but we did encounter some non-responsiveness every now and then. The same goes for the capacitive buttons under the screen. But then these small glitches were rare enough to avoid spoiling our experience with the phablet. Typing on the S920's keypad is an easy task. Owing to the abundant screen size, keys are large and well spaced, allowing for a pleasant round of button mashing for text messages and email.
Slots
You'll find two slots for SIM cards since the S920 has dual-SIM capability. However, while the first slot has 3G capability, the second one is only capable of 2G/EDGE speeds. You'll also find a microSD slot in the area. Given that the device only has 4GB of internal memory, its best that you buy yourself a nice, spacious microSD card if you see yourself storing a lot of music and videos. Also, behind the cover and right under the battery, you'll find the phablet's loud speaker which provides sound for playing music, movies, loud speaker calls and more. It offers good, clear sound, but is a little too gentle for our taste.
