Design

The K900 stunned us when we first saw the device. The handset is constructed from stainless steel and polycarbonate plastic. This time around, Lenovo tested a new design language. The Vibe X seems to be made of fabric look like material (the rear-back panel), while rest is plain polycarbonate plastic.

The phone is ultra portable (measures at 6.9mm) and weighs 120 grams. The Vibe X isn't the most gorgeous looking phone around, but will most likely steal your thunder. The phone is also easy to hold in one single hand, making it comfortable to hold for long durations.

Software and Processor

While Google has already announced the Android 4.4 Kitkat, Lenovo Vibe X still running the tad old Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean mobile OS. On the top of Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, there is a custom designed OS. The proprietary custom designed layer makes the experience user friendly in general. There are many exclusive features bundled within the Vibe X. The proprietary UI goes away with app drawer instead you'll see all the usable apps on the home screen itself.

On the downside, Lenovo has used a 1.5GHz quad-core processor powered by MediaTek chipset coupled with 2GB RAM. The makers could have opted for a quad-core processor by Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC. The phone severely lacks power packed performance.
