After announcing G2, LG may announce Nexus 5 along with Google in the coming days. There is no doubt about that the South Korean giant is interested in making next gen Nexus smartphone official. Reportedly, it was said that Google could discontinue Nexus 4 8GB.
Well, if sources are to be believed then Nexus 5 is on the way. Google has already announced that Android 4.4 Kitkat is the official name of Android OS. Moreover, according to Twitter sensation @evleaks LG D280 might be known as LG Nexus 5.

The supposed Nexus 5 is said to be similar to LG G2, as per various multiple reports. Last week, a report published in S4gru (via Engadget) claimed that LG D280 was spotted at FCC website. The device would have a 4.96-inch display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 4G LTE, and a non-removable battery.
Few days back, Vietnamese Tinhte had reported that LG Nexus 5 would be similar to recently announced G2. The phone is said to flaunt similar design minus rear touch pad controlling system. The report also mentioned that the phone would feature a 5.2-inch display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC, 2GB RAM and lastly 13MP rear back shooter. Like Nexus 4, Google is planning to sell Nexus 5 unlocked via Play Store.
There is no concrete information about Nexus 5 as of now. It is rather tough to say that whether LG has been awarded to manufacture Nexus 5 or not.
Meanwhile, LG G2 will be launched in India in the first week of October 2013. The phone comes with a 5.2-inch Full HD IPS Super LCD2 display having resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels at 443 ppi. It is powered by a 2.26GHz quad-core processor powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB of internal memory.
Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean comes out of the box. There's a 13-mega pixel rear facing camera at the back with advance imaging optics including Optical image stabilization (OIS) feature with Auto Focus and LED Flashlight. Also add a 2.1-mega pixel front facing camera.
