LG G Flex 2 Launched with 5.5-inch Full HD Curved P-OLED Display at CES 2015

As promised, LG has launched its much awaited LG G Flex 2 at CES 2015 event in Las Vegas today. The South-Korean handset manufacturer LG has come up with the successor to the LG's first-ever curved screen smartphone.

As per the company press release, the original G Flex earned positive reviews for its innovative design and outside-the-box thinking. One year later, the G Flex 2 improves upon its predecessor in every way possible with a more advanced design, faster performance and most importantly, greater convenience.

LG G Flex 2 - Key Specifications

The LG G Flex 2 sports a 5.5-inch curved full HD Curved P-OLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels which translates to 403 ppi. It is clocked at 2GHz 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor alongside of 2GB DDR4 RAM. In terms of storage, LG G Flex 2 comes in two variants namely 16/32GB of built-in memory, with an expansion slot via microSD slot.

On the imaging factor, LG G Flex 2 features 13MP rear camera with laser auto-focus, & OIS+, 2.1MP front snapper. The smartphone will be shipped with Android 5.0 Lollipop and also software features like Gesture shot, Gesture view, Glance View, and Fast Charge. This device is powered by a 3000mAh battery and carries a dimension of 149.1 x 75.3 x 7.1-9.4mm and weighs around 152grams.

On the connectivity front, G Flex 2 supports 4G / LTE / HSPA+ 21/42 Mbps, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth Smart Ready (Apt-X) 4.1, NFC, SlimPort, A-GPS / Glonass, USB 2.0

Like its predecessor, LG G Flex 2 also support self-healing back and the company has reduced the healing time to just 10 seconds at room temperature.

The LG G Flex 2 will be available starting at the end of the month in Korea to be followed by additional global markets. The device will initially be available in two colors: Platinum Silver and Flamenco Red.
