LG Bringing Android Lollipop 5.0 Update to G2, G3 And GPad Tablet Lineup

The South Korean giant LG has announced that it will roll out the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the G Pad series of smartphones in Korea from this month. Moreover, the LG G Pad 8.3 Google Play edition got the Android 5.0 update last year.

LG G Pad series includes devices like G Pad 8.3, which was launched back in September 2013, and G Pad 7.0, G Pad 8.0, G Pad 10.1 tablets in last year. However, the company didn't reveal the Android 5.0 for global roll out, we are expecting it in upcoming days.

All the devices are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz, 1 GB of RAM, with 800 x 1280 pixel display of different sizes ranging from 7-inches, 8-inches, and 10.1-inches.

On the other hand, Lollipop update comes with new material design which offers a bold, colorful and responsive UI, refreshing notification system. It will also allow the users to see the notification in the lock screen and they will get displayed like banners on the top of the screen.
Additionally, there is a do-not-disturb feature added to the notification bar.

This update also contains battery optimization, which includes battery saver mode, job scheduling and a new developer tool called Battery Historian which tracks the battery consumption by an application.
