LG G Pro 3 Could Come With Odin SoC [ REPORT]
There have been reports in the past that LG might be preparing its own SoC codenamed "Odin". It will put the G3 maker at par with Samsung, which has been powering its devices using its own Exynos SoC. Now, if gossip mongers are to be believed, LG's G Pro 3 might come equipped with Odin processor.
According to a Korean site, LG is in full swing to use its own processor in the upcoming LG G Pro 3. The chipset might be manufactured by TSMC. It is also learnt that LG might roll out its own SoC sometime in early 2015.
We had been reporting that the Odin processor might comprise four 2.2GHz Cortex-A15 and four 1.7GHz Cortex-A7 cores, which means the chipset might rely on the big.LITTLE power-saving technology. However, do take this rumor as a pinch of salt, since LG hasn't been vocal about its rumored Odin processor.

So far, LG has been using Qualcomm chipsets to power its devices. With the rumored Odin processor in works, it could give the company an edge over Apple and Samsung. The Odin SoC has been tipped to go inside the LG G3 flagship handset, so again we advise you to to take this rumor as a pinch of salt.
The successor to the LG G Pro 2 is expected to go official in early 2015. That means the G Pro 2 might get discontinued very soon. The much loved handset is now retailing at Rs. 31,200 in India, which itself signals an incoming of the G Pro 3.
