LG G2 starts receiving Android 4.4.2 KitKat Update in India
Well, a good news for all the LG G2 users in India, the South Korean tech giant has started rolling out the latest Google Android 4.4.2 KitKat update on the device. Already, GizBot had reported in the past that the company was pushing the update to the owners of this smartphone in South Korea, and now the Indian owners can enjoy their share of excitement.
Ranked as India's no. 1 smartphone in 2013, LG G2 now comes with features like KnockON, Guest Mode, RearKey, OIS Camera, Audio Zoom and more. Talking about the update, Android 4.4.2 KitKat will come on LG G2 as an OTA update and also via PC suite app. How to update? Go to Settings >About Phone >Software update.

The update brings about a number of performance tweaks and new features as well. The Android 4.4 KitKat also optimizes the UI of the device, improvement in status bar and Quick Settings, Sleek launch animation and live wallpaper across the lock and home screens, improved experiences for Messaging, MyXperia, Smart Connect, Small apps, TrackID, TrackID TV, Sony Select, Smart Social Camera and more. The size of the update is 535MB and will bring a lot of tweaks to the hot-selling LG G2.

Specswise, LG G2 comes with a 5.2-inch full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) touchscreen display and is powered by a 2.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. It runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system. Photography is handled by a 13-megapixel rear camera and a front facing shooter as well. While the unique feature of the handset is the power and volume buttons on its back, just beneath the camera. The price of LG G2 in India is around Rs 29,000 for 16GB and Rs 37,000 for 32GB.
