The other day, G2 has been teased by the South Korean giant via press invitation. The makers behind Optimus G Pro also created ripples by releasing a short video in respect to LG G2. Interestingly, the teaser image hinted at some sort of fingerprint mechanism on the rear back. Now Phone Arena has got its hands on real pictures of LG G2.
Clearly, the phone comes with a 5.2-inch FHD display having resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The rear back cover is removable and there's a 2,610mAh Li Ion battery fitted inside. Recently, the phone was showed up at FCC (North American). The street is abuzz with rumors of LG G2 to arrive with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. Google is holding a press conference later in the day to announce Android 4.3 Jelly Bean alongside Nexus 7.
The LG G2 will be unique handset in many ways. The design of the handset is very similar to Nexus 4. Of course, the forthcoming handset will have a 5.2-inch Full HD display. You can see edge-to-edge screen, just like Nexus 4. The phone will be made of polycarbonate plastic.
The volume control button is at the rear back. Even though, Apple is yet to announce iPhone 5S with fingerprint sensor, but LG has already teased the coming of fingerprint sensor on G2. LG would like to see its high-end handset succeed in the market. The competition is fierce with Samsung has already launched Galaxy S4 and HTC is said to be prepping a 6-inch phablet in the coming days.
LG G2 - Rumored Specifications
LG's upcoming touch-less handset will be stuffed with Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor coupled with 2GB RAM and 32GB of ROM (expandable). There is a possibility to see a 13-mega pixel rear facing camera along with 2-mega pixel front facing shooter on the front. The phone will support 4G LTE A. Other connectivity features include: 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS, amongst other features. LG will launch G2 on August 7 in New York City. Stay tuned to GizBot.
