LG Electronics today announced the second generation of LG G2 - the company's most ambitious handset till date - the highly awaited LG G3. The South Korean tech giant introduced the most deserving Samsung Galaxy S5 competitor in a packed event held in London. As per the company press release, the launch event took place in six cities worldwide - London, New York, San Francisco, Seoul, Singapore and Istanbul.
It was also informed at the event, that starting on May 28 in South Korea, LG G3 will begin rolling out worldwide on over 170 carriers. At the same time, rumors are rife in the Indian tech media that LG would launch/unveil the latest flagship in the country by next week.

The LG G3 incorporates a 5.5-inch Quad HD display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 with an astonishing 538ppi. LG says the G3's display is four times more vivid than a conventional smartphone with standard HD screen. Despite being a large sized handset, considering its massive screen, the handsome phone measures 8.9mm in terms of thickness and weighs 149 grams. Moreover, LG has unleashed new user interface (UI) to match G3's capabilities.
The 13-megapixel rear-facing camera in the LG G3 now has an innovative Laser Auto Focus, the first of its kind in the smartphone industry. This imaging technology enables the G3 to capture the best moment - even in low light - by measuring the distance between the subject and the camera using a laser beam. Not to forget, the G3's camera also features much improved OIS+ camera technology. There's a 2.1MP front-facing camera which incorporates several new enhancements such as a larger image sensor and larger aperture for more light throughput and better-looking selfies.
LG's G3 comes with tons of new innovative features that truly makes it the most charismatic handset till date. Which includes, Smart Keyboard, Smart Notice and Smart Security.Smart Keyboard:LG's new software addition in the form of Smart Keyboard let you reduce input errors by up to 75 percent by tracking and analyzing typing habits and intuitively "knowing" what word the user intended to type. The height of the keyboard can also be adjusted to better fit the user's hands and position of the thumbs. Individual keys can also be customized with frequently used symbols for even faster input.
Smart Notice provides suggestions and recommendations based on user behavior, phone usage patterns and location to offer user information when it's needed the most. Smart Notice can remind you of a call you declined earlier and ask if you would like to call that person back.
This particular feature will help you to maintain and secure confidential data when smartphones are shared, misplaced, lost or stolen. The LG G3 now offers number of security features : Knock Code, Content Lock and Kills Switch.
With the launch of LG G3, the company also introduced number of matching accessories. QuickCircle case allows you to access to frequently used functions such as calling, text messaging, music and camera all from the QuickCircle window without opening the cover. Meanwhile, LG also introduced a new headset in collaboration with Harman/Kardon , dubbed the Tone Infinim. There's a wireless charger which is optimized for easy portability.
At the same time, LG G Watch also made an appearance on stage during the launch of LG G3.
