LG G3 Prime: Key Specifications

The LG G3 Prime (Cat.6) doesn't come with much changes in the feature, but there are slightly upgraded hardware used in this one. As rumored it features a 2.7 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor with Adreno 420 GPU which is against the regular G3 that is powered by Snapdragon 801 CPU. Also a new addition is the 4G LTE-A (up to 225 Mbps) support as said earlier.

Other specs remain same with 5.5-inch (2560×1440 pixels) Quad HD IPS display with a pixel density of 538ppi. The device measures 146.3×74.6×9.1mm in dimension and weighs 154 grams. LG G3 Prime runs on Android 4.4.2 (KitKat) with Optimus UI layered on top of it. Buyers will find a similar 13MP rear camera with OIS, Dual LED Flash, Laser Auto Focus and 4K video recording and 2.1MP front-facing camera. Other specs include: 3GB DDR3 RAM, 32GB internal memory, expandable memory up to 128GB with microSD, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (MIMO), Bluetooth 4.0 with Apt-X, GPS, NFC, Slim Port and 3000 mAh removable battery.

Both Samsung and LG have been putting up a great show, in terms of coming up with the best smartphones in the market. Until now, the talk was just circling around the QHD panels being used in the premium devices but now it looks like the LTE-Advanced might be a new hot topic for discussion.

However, there are only few markets around the world, including South Korea that provide 4G LTE-A network, and India is still proliferating on the 4G LTE connectivity as of now where Airtel and Aircel have been the first two major players. Thus, LG G3 Prime is expected to become available for purchase only in South Korea around July 25th.
