While, LG G3 is all set to mark its India debut next week on July 21st, new rumors have appeared online related to its mini variant. Yes, along with the successor of LG G3 looks like, the mini version is also set to be coming soon.
Thanks to the User Manual (in German) that showed up recently, the manual has leaked supposed specifications and the model name of the upcoming smartphone.
You heard it right! According to the leaked user manual, the mini variant of the LG G3 would be called LG G3 S.
Moreover, the alleged manual also suggests that it is a carrier-based smartphone with a model number D722V. According to PhoneArena, the folks over there have reported that they have seen the handset before but that was the dual SIM variant, unlike this one, which is apparently a single SIM handset.
LG G3 S - What Specs to Expect?
As per the reports, LG G3 S will feature all the software goodies that will perpetuate the essence of the G3 in the mini variant. However, if you are wondering about the differences between the regular and its mini variant, you might see a heavily downgraded hardware package.
The LG G3 S will not be featuring the high-end processor and the remarkable UHD display. Thus, you might be disappointed to see the Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and a 5-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution output of 720 x 1,280 pixels.
Moreover, if rumors are to be believed, the camera module will also be downgraded to 8MP from 13MP of the LG G3. Other specs could consist of a 2GB RAM, a 2MP front facing camera, 16GB of expandable internal memory and a 2,540mAh battery. According to Mylgphones, the G3 S will also feature 4G LTE connectivity option.
Similar to the 5.5-inch LG G3, the G3 S might come running on Android 4.4 KitKat customized with LG's latest interface and design language.
But it should be noted that LG G3 mini will come in several carrier-bound variants and this one in particular is tailor made for Vodafone.
Other variants like the D722 which will be heading to Europe, the D722K for Taiwan, HongKong, Singapore and other Asian countries. Other variants consist of LG D725 (AT&T), LG LS885 (Sprint), LG D728/D729 (China, which will be called as G3 Beat), and LG D723/723AR (South America), LG D724 (CIS).
