After several rumors LG has today officially announced that it would announce its latest variant of the LG G3 smartphone the - LG G3 Stylus at the IFA 2014 tech show in Berlin next week. The LG G3 Stylus, a pen-enabled smartphone, incorporates many of the premium user experience (UX) features of the G3 but sports a downsized specs.
However, the addition of the proprietary Rubberdium stylus pen is the only addition in the new variant of the LG G3 smartphone. And in terms of design language, the G3 Stylus uses the same Floating Arc tapered edges, thin bezels and metallic skin profile of the original G3.
LG G3 Stylus: Key Specifications
The LG G3 Stylus will come with the same 5.5-inch qHD IPS display offering a resolution of 960× 540 pixels. It would be powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. It houses 8GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded using microSD card. It runs on Android 4.4.2 (KitKat) OS and will come with a 13MP rear camera with LED Flash and a 1.3MP front-facing snapper. Connectivity options include: 3G HSPA+, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS. The LG G3 Stylus measures 149.3 x 75.9 x 10.2mm, weighs 163 grams and draws its energy from a 3000mAh battery.
The G3 Stylus also adopts much of the UX features from the G3, including Touch & Shoot, Gesture Shot, and Front Camera Light. The G3 Stylus also boasts of highly-acclaimed features of premium smartphones of LG such as QuickMemo+, Dual Window, Smart Keybaord and Knock Code.
The LG G3 Stylus comes in Black, White and Gold colors and would go on sale in 3G markets starting in Brazil in September followed by countries in Asia, Middle East and Africa and CIS. Details regarding the pricing and availability of the device would be unveiled at the local launch events.
