LG G3 Vs Samsung Galaxy S5: Irrespective of Price, Which is a Better Option?
Buying a smartphone is both easy as well as hard in recent times. It's easy since there are a number of different smartphones in every affordable price range, but hard at the same time as there are numerous smartphones to choose from in each of the price segments.
However, keeping our conversation fixed to the upper echelon of the market at the moment, it seems like there are a host of smartphones that are currently available in that segment that could be worth the money spent.
And although it's highly unlikely that the upper section will messed aroudn with by customers, there will still be a few who will indeed look to invest on a few of these offerings.
Two companies that have currently jumped on to that bandwagon are the new Samsung Galaxy S5 and the recently announced LG G3 handsets that will look to offer premium flagships with a host of features and specs.
Samsung is yet to fully capitalize on the kind of name the Galaxy series of smartphones have made for themselves in the last few years, and associate it with the new S5. LG, on the other hand, has a lot riding on its new G3 phone that has arrived in tune with the likes of G Pro 2 and others.
Guessing that boh the devices will indeed go head to head at one point or the other in the market, who do you think will have the upper hand over the other when indeed both of them meet? We take a look at a comparison between the Samsung Galaxy S5 and the LG G3.
LG G3 Vs Samsung Galaxy S5: Operating System
As expected from so many new age devices these days, the same has been maintained for both the phones. No concerns in this sector as both the LG G3 and the Galaxy S5 run on the latest Android KitKat operating system.

The Samsung Galaxy S5, comparatively, comes with a slightly lesser 5.1-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touch screen, while rendering 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution. The device's overall dimensions measure up to 142 x 72.5 x 8.1 mm, with the device also being comparatively lighter, weighing in at just 145 grams.
LG G3 Vs Samsung Galaxy S5: Camera
The LG G3, in the camera department, offers a 13-megapixel primary camera with OIS+, sporting a mammoth pixel resolution of 4160 x 3120 pixels, with autofocus and dual LED flash. The device also has a secondary 2.1-megapixel camera on board that's more than enough for conducting video chats.
The Samsung Galaxy S5, on the other hand, sports a greater primary 16-megapixel camera, sporting a pixel resolution of 5312 x 2988 pixels, with autofocus and LED flash. The device also has a secondary 2-megapixel camera on board.
LG G3 Vs Samsung Galaxy S5: Processors
Great processing powers and a powerful engine are the basic need of a modern day smartphone. And both the Lg G3 and the Samsung Galaxy S5 doesn't compromise in that department.
While the LG G3 comes sporting a quad core 2.5 GHz Krait 400 processor with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 801 chipset, the Galaxy S5 from Samsung is powered by an octa core processor Adonis Prime2 (Quad 1.9GHz + Quad 1.3GHz) + XMM6360.

LG G3 Vs Samsung Galaxy S5: Price
While the Samsung Galaxy S5 has already been made available online for a price tag of Rs. 44,666, its LG counterpart is yet to set a price tag on its new G3 handset. Although we are guessing that the handset will have more or less the same price tag (or close to that) as that of the S5.
LG G3 Vs Samsung Galaxy S5: Verdict
While it's needless to say at this point that both the devices will target the cream audience before the end of the current year, only one can sustain in the market while the other will be left behind. Now, there's not much to choose from betweenn the devices, in terms of specs and features, as you may have noticed.
However, it still is quite difficult to categorize as both the devices are so close in terms of specs. However, we are guessing that from a neutral point of view the LG device should be doing better than its Samsung counterpart. And going by the fact that LG is making good smartphones with better build qualities, the G3 has a great chance of making it big once it hits the Indian shores.
