LG L Series 3: L40, L70 and L90 Smartphones Unveiled With Android KitKat OS

Surely the South Korean smartphone maker LG's L series of smartphones share a long-standing relation with the International Mobile World Congress annual event. The first L and second generation of L series of smartphones were announced back in 2012 and 2013. The year and date were different but both were announced under the roof of MWC.

Now, following the same launch pattern, the maker of G Flex smartphone has made its third generation of the L series of smartphones official. These devices consist of L40, L70 and L90. These devices will be launched later this month at the MWC 2014, taking place in Barcelona, Spain.

Very much like the older L range of smartphones, the latest series also come with size variations. Thus the three models L40, L70 and L90 come with 3.5 inch HVGA, 4.5 inch WVGA, 4.7-inch qHD displays respectively. The best thing about this latest range of smartphones are that they all come running on Android KitKat version out of the box. Also the company has added a perfect finishing to these devices. The addition of narrow bezel and refined metallic frame also gives these devices a premium look. Moreover, these smartphones will also come with a Quick Window cover which comes in three colors.

Going by the specs, the LG L40 comes with a 3.5-inch capacitive touch screen display offering a resolution of 480 x 320 pixels. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat OS. Other features include 3MP rear camera, 512MB RAM,4GB Internal memory, expandable memory up to 32GB with microSD, 3G (HSDPA+14.4Mbps), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and 1,700mAh or 1,540m Ah (removable) battery depending on the market.

On the other hand, LG L70 features a bit bigger display measuring 4.5-inch (capacitive touch screen display) and offers a resolution of 800 x 400 pixels. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor. Other specs include, 8MP or 5MP rear camera depending on the market, 0.3MP (VGA) front-facing camera, 1GB RAM,4GB Internal memory, expandable memory up to 32GB with microSD, Dimensions: 127.2 x 66.8 x 9.5mm, 3G (HSPA+21Mbps), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 2,100mAh battery

Lastly, the LG L90 is the best among the three which comes with a better specs. It has a 4.7-inch (960 x 540 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, 8MP rear camera with LED flash, 1.3MP front-facing camera, 1GB RAM, 8GB Internal memory, expandable memory up to 32GB with microSD, Dimensions: 131.6 x 66.0 x 9.7mm, 3G (HSPA+21Mbps), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and 2,540 mAh battery.

What remains common among the three devices are the Android KitKat OS and 3G connectivity. And like its older generation siblings, these will be priced at low to mid range section. However, the company has not revealed the market availability of the device and nor the prices of these devices have been disclosed. But the second best smartphone maker from South Korea will launch the device later this month and most probably all shall be revealed then.
