LG L80 Dual Vs Panasonic P81: Can the KitKat Stand Against the Octa Core?
If we were to keep all the big names in the smartphone business like Samsung, Apple or Sony aside, it will interesting to see as to which part of the smartphone business other newcomers capture in the long run.
Barring all the big names in the business, in recent times, companies like Micromax, Karbonn and Lava have all come to the front with their special offerings at price tags that will suit everybody's pockets.
Now, keeping up with the openness of the market and the trend to release devices almost everyday, two companies that are looking to generate some kind of market revenue while tackling all the challenges from others are LG and Panasonic with their latest L80 Dual and P81 handsets, respectively.
While LG's L80 Dual is currently aiming at making a market share for itself with devices like the G Flex and G Pro 2 already out of the bag, Panasonic is looking to go the distance and make its P81 one of the sought after devices of the current year.
So if we were to take both the LG L80 Dual and the Panasonic P81 together and strike a comparison between both, who do you think will stand a better chance in the race? We take a look at the comparison.
LG L80 Dual Vs Panasonic P81: Operating System
While there's no real distinction in the OS of the phones since both run the Android operating system, it seems like the L80 Dual has an upper hand since it runs the latest Android KitKat operating system out of the box.

LG L80 Dual Vs Panasonic P81: Display and Dimensions
The LG L80 Dual sports a 5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 480 x 800 pixels resolution. The Panasonic P81, on the other hand, comes with a similar 5-inch capacitive touchscreen, although with a more 720 x 1280 pixels resolution.
LG L80 Dual Vs Panasonic P81: Camera
The LG L80 Dual, in the camera department, offers a primary 5-megapixel primary camera, sporting a pixel resolution of 2592 х 1944 pixels, with autofocus and LED flash. The device also comes with a front-facing snapper.
The P81, on the other hand, offers a massive 13-megapixel camera at the back with flash, with a similar 2-megapixel camera up front.
LG L80 Dual Vs Panasonic P81: Processors
Great and quality processing powers are expected to be generated from both the devices as is expected from almost all the new age smartphones these days. And there's no reason why the P81 and L80 dual will be different.
While the LG L80 Dual offers a 1.2 GHz dual core Cortex-A7 processor, the Panasonic P81 comes powered via a massive 1.7GHz octa-core processor.
LG L80 Dual Vs Panasonic P81: Storage and RAM
The LG L80 Dual offers 1GB of RAM to users while offering the device in a 4GB internal memory variant. However, there's the option to expand the device's memory up to 32GB as an external microSD slot for additional memory is also present.
The P81 smartphone, however, offers a similar 1GB of RAM while offering the device in 8 GB internal memory variant. Also similar to the L80 Dual, there's the option to expand the device's memory up to 32GB as an external microSD slot for additional memory is present.
LG L80 Dual Vs Panasonic P81: Battery
While the LG L80 juices up the KitKat-powered device via a powerful 2540 mAh battery, the P81 also comes fitted with a slightly greater 2500 mAh battery.
LG L80 Dual Vs Panasonic P81: Price
While the LG L80 Dual is currently available at Rs. 17,500, the P81 is set to be available at a price tag of Rs. 17,360. So not much difference there.
LG L80 Dual Vs Panasonic P81: Verdict
Without any real bias toward anybody, it definitely needs to be said that the Panasonic P81 has the upper hand in this respect. And although the LG L80 has the KitKat advantage over the P81, but still the P81's powerful octa core processor should be enough to drive the sales of the device.
