LG LTE Enabled Optimus F5, F7 Launched: Top 3 Features of the Jelly Bean Smartphones
LG is certainly taking a different route this year and leaving no element of surprise for Mobile World Congress next week. The company seems to be hoping to expand the number of LTE devices in its product lineup with the Optimus F Series handsets targeted at mid-range and high-end audience.
It is already known that the South Korean tech giant will be coming up with the second generation L-series smartphones including Optimus L3 2, Optimus L5 2 and Optimus L7 2 at MWC 2013. Additionally, earlier reports suggested that the company is also working on LTE enabled Android smartphones in its F-series.
Four days ahead of MWC 2013, LG has officially unwrapped Optimus F5 and Optimus F7, a couple of smartphones that come with 4G LTE.
Specifications
As far as specs are concerned, Optimus F5 sports a 4.3 inch IPS capacitive touchscreen display with a qHD resolution of 960 x 540 pixels, 1.2GHz dual core processor, Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS, 8GB internal storage, micro SD card slot, 1GB RAM, 5MP rear camera, 1.3MP front camera, 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS with aGPS and a 2,150 mAh battery.

On the other hand, Optimus F7 boasts a 4.7 inch True HD IPS capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, 1.5GHz dual core processor, Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS, 8GB internal storage, micro SD card slot, 2GB RAM, 8MP rear camera, 1.3MP front camera, 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS with aGPS and a 2,540 mAh battery.
Price & Availability
The worldwide release of Optimus F5 will begin in the second quarter in Europe, followed soon by the Optimus F7 in selected markets. Both the smartphones will come in Black and White color options. However, there is no word regarding the exact release date or price.
Other Features
Both Optimus F5 and Optimus F7 come loaded with features including QSlide, Live Zooming, QuickMemo, QTranslator, Video Wiz, Safety Care and more.
Qslide
QSlide allows users to open 2 apps simultaneously in a single screen. Now, this feature supports video, browser, memo, calendar and calculator. Users can adjust the size, position and transparency of QSlide apps according to their preferences.
Live Zooming
Live Zooming feature lets users to zoom into a specific area while watching a video.
QuickMemo
QuickMemo instantly captures any screen image on the handset allowing users to add comments, drawings and humor and share the personalized message with everyone.
