LG to Showcase New Smartphones on May 1 in US And April 23 in India [REPORT]

|

New York City has become a destination for the major tech launches as Nokia, HTC, Samsung and several other smartphone vendors have unveiled their biggest offerings there. Now, it seems like LG has also joined the list as the South Korean tech titan has started sending out a new invite for an event on May 1, 2013.

The invite is light on details, asking attendees only to "Share the Genius" and "Capture the Spotlight in True Brilliance." Also, it features a microphone and literal spotlights decorating it.

Though there is no additional information about the event, but the press conference could be held to announce a U.S. version of the LG Optimus G Pro, a 5.5-inch phablet handset that LG unveiled at MWC 2013 in February.

Meantime, LG has also sent an invite to GizBot for a tech event scheduled to happen on April 23 in New Delhi. The invite claims that the company is planning to announce a slew of future devices at the event, but as of now it remains a mystery on what devices will be announced.

Well, a tipster has revealed to GizBot that LG will basically showcase most of the smartphones that have been launched in the international market recently and are awaiting their Indian release. Which hints that the company will be unveiling and eventually launching a new range of LG smartphones in India in the coming months.

Recently, the Optimus L3 2 and Optimus L7 2 have already hit the market at Rs 8,800 and Rs 18,650 respectively. Also, the Optimus G, which was the flagship smartphone of LG in 2012 was released in February.

So now, which are the ones awaiting Indian boundary foray and also have the highest possibilities to get released in near future? Well, let's crack the mystery for you. Check out the handsets that are listed in the gallery below and have a possibility to foray in Indian market in the coming months.
