LG Optimus G Pro Announced: Competes Neck and Neck With Samsung Galaxy Note 2
LG, the brain behind Nexus 4, is back with a bang. After updating, its best selling L-series, the company has made Optimus G Pro official in Korea recently. It is a successor to hit LG Optimus G - the device with quad core processor and a 13-mega pixels camera under the hood. But, that was so 2012. This year, LG has started its big comeback in the form of Pro version of Optimus G. It's a new device, specific, to the Korean market and the company says that the device will arrive later this month.

LG Optimus G Pro - Specifications and highlighted features
LG made a step forward in the phablet race category with LG Optimus G Pro as it has mix of hardware engineering and classic appeal to it. The device has a marvelous display. Any guess? The LG Optimus G Pro consists of a giant slab with 5.5-inch 1080p HD display, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage (expandable via micro SD card) and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
The company fitted a beefed up 3140mAh battery. The Phablet comes with a 13-mega pixel rear shooter capable of shooting video in 1080p HD format. The company says that they have used curved glass in order to give 2.5D effect. And talking about the processor sitting under the hood - 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon Pro Quad core processor, it's a tough beast. Expect this device to take center stage later this month at Mobile World Congress, slated to happen in Barcelona, Spain.
LG Optimus G - India release date
This year, LG has comes up with a super stuffed version of the LG Optimus G. But, India, as usual, is still a distant dream, for the Korean giant. It is being said again and again that LG has plans to launch the original LG Optimus G in the Indian market. Reportedly, LG Optimus G may finally landing into Indian market later this month. However, as of now, not a single online retailer, including, big ones, have listed Optimus G for pre-order or online listing.
The LG Optimus G is a neat looking device which resembles to Nexus 4 (also made by LG). The device comes with a 4.7-inch True HD IPS (720p) HD display, 2GB of RAM , 32GB of internal storage (fixed one), a 13-mega pixels rear camera and 1.3-mega pixels front facing camera, Wi-Fi, 3G , 4G LTE and 1.5GHz Quad core processor.

LG is not the only mobile manufacturer who makes phablets. There are other big brands as well, far, better visible, in the Indian market. Gizbot pits LG Optimus G Pro against Samsung Galaxy Note 2. As the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 recently got a price cut and sells for Rs. 35,600, in the Indian market. The device is a premium device with a 5.5-inch 720p HD display , 2GB of RAM , 16/32GB of internal storage ( expandable via micro SD cards), an 8-mega pixels rear camera(with LED flash) and 1.9-mega pixels front facing camera, Wi-Fi, 3G and Quad core processor.
As of now, the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is a winner due to the fact the device will widely available in retail as well as online stores. Although, LG will surely create some threat on the native tech grounds when Optimus G enters the arena.
