LG Optimus G Pro To Be Launched in Asia on May 30th

Earlier this month, LG sent out a press invite for a launch event, to be held in Macau, May 30th. All the invite said was "ImaGination Begins", the highlighted G suggested that it would be the launch of a new smartphone in the Optimus G series. There were many speculations that the device might actually be the LG Optimus G2. All these speculations can be put to rest because the Korean company has released a newer copy of the invitation which clearly shows that the device being launched is in-fact the LG Optimus G Pro.

Note: LG Optimus G Pro Launch event to happen in Macau, an administrative region of the People's Republic of China.

The LG Optimus G Pro was launced in Korean makert back in February, it was initialy believed that the phone was exclusive only to the country. However, the handset made its way to the US and now will be making way to Asian countries as well. For those who are not aware, the LG Optimus G Pro was also showcased in the LG Tech Show 2013, New Delhi.

Soon Kwon, managing director, LG India announced that the Optimus G Pro will be released in India in June or July at Rs 40,000 approximatly. Lets have quick look at the specifications of the smartphone.

Optimus G Pro is the successor of Optimus G and boasts a 5.5 inch True HD IPS+ LCD capacitive touchscreen display with a full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, 1.7GHz quad core Krait processor, 32GB internal storage, 2GB RAM, micro SD card slot supporting up to 64GB additional storage, 13MP rear camera, 2.1MP front camera, Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS, Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth, NFC and a 3,140 mAh battery.
