LG Optimus G Successor is Coming to Rival Samsung Galaxy S4

LG, the South Korean giant needs a Jesus device to better compete with Samsung and Apple. In the past few months LG has come up with two high end devices - LG Optimus G, and soon to be launched device -- LG Optimus G Pro.

When LG announced the latter device, it was clearly said that the device would be the successor to mega successful LG Optimus G, which retails for Rs.30, 000 in the Indian market. Now Engadget reports that LG is preparing with a sequel to LG Optimus G. The information has been shared by Won Kim, Head of Mobile Marketing at LG Mobile.

He [Won Kim] told Engadget "something different and something unique" is coming soon. As per the report it clearly hints at something new from LG is coming, and that could be a sequel to the LG Optimus G. The specifications are still unknown and it will be equipped with a 5-inch Full HD display, and beefed up internals.

The coming of the speculated sequel to LG Optimus G hints that the South Korean giant is either not impressed with the sales of its high-end devices introduced to tackle Galaxy S3. Last year, the Taiwanese giant HTC unleashed two high-end devices to crush Samsung Galaxy S3, but critics were not impressed with the illogical move made by HTC. Looks like LG is also following HTC steps by launching more than one flagship device to take on Samsung's Galaxy S4 , and Apple iPhone 5S ( due this summer).

The LG made Optimus G comes with a 4.7-inch True HD IPS + display with resolution of 1280 X 768 pixels , 1.5Ghz Quad- Core Qualcomm processor, 2GB of RAM , 32GB of internal storage, a 13-mega pixel rear camera with Autofocus and LED Flash supported, 1.3-mega pixel front facing camera, 3G, Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 , A-GPS and 2,100mAh battery. LG Optimus G Pro

The LG Optimus G Pro is said to be announced to give touch competition to Samsung Galaxy Note 2. The Phablet comes with a 5.5-inch 1080p HD display, 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon Pro Quad core processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage (expandable via micro SD card) and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. It also boasts powerful 3140mAh battery. In the imaging department add 13-mega pixel rear shooter capable of shooting video in 1080p HD format. It also features curved glass in order to give 2.5D effect. The device is yet to be launched in the Indian market. Stay tuned to GizBot.
