For an emerging smartphone player like LG, the success of Optimus G2 matters a lot. Back in 2012, when Samsung launched its highly successful Galaxy S3, the Nexus 4 maker also tried to take over its arch rival with Optimus G.

Earlier this year, a report by GSM Arena sheds light on the achievement of LG Optimus G. The phone sold in good numbers (1 million units). However, this magical figure was way less in comparison what Samsung Galaxy S3 achieved. For the first time, in real, LG as a smartphone vendor tasted success. Later, the LG Optimus G Pro went on to become even a bigger puller - thanks to its 5.5-inch Full HD display.

Now everyone is anxiously waiting to get their hands on Optimus G2. Want to know the rumored specifications of G2? Have a look!

The G-series by LG is primarily focused on premium experience. The LG Optimus G2, as mentioned above, is significant for the company because Samsung had announced Galaxy S4 few months back. So the competition is stiff for LG to win back more users. Talking about the phone, it is said that LG will surprise you all with a differentiated design. The volume and power button have been placed on the rear back alongside camera.

Even the capacitive touch button the front panel are gone making the phone button-less. In the name of internal hardware, the Optimus G2 will be stuffed with Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor coupled with 2GB/3GB of RAM and 32GB of ROM. As Google is rumored to announce Android 4.3 Jelly Bean on July 24, one could see Optimus G2 comes with the latest version of Android. Who knows? Stay tuned to GizBot.
