At the MWC 2013 tech show in Barcelona, South Korean tech firm LG announced the launch of three smartphones in the Optimus L series. Of the trio, Optimus L3 2 and Optimus L7 2 seem to have officially released into India.
The smartphone duo will be available in the retail and online stores across India at Rs 8,800 and Rs 18,650 respectively. Both the handsets run on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS and come with dual SIM support.
Speaking of specs, Optimus L3 2 is a low-end handset boasting a 3.2-inch IPS LCD display with 240 x 320 pixel resolution, 1GHz processor, 5MP rear camera, 512MB RAM, 4GB internal storage, micro SD card slot supporting up to 32GB, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a-GPS and a 1,540 mAh battery.
When it comes to Optimus L7 2, the handset packs a 4.7 inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display with 480 x 800 pixel resolution, 1GHz dual-core Cortex A5 processor, 768MB RAM, 4GB internal storage, micro SD card slot, 8MP rear camera, VGA front camera, Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth and a 2,460 mAh battery.
On the software side, Optimus L7 2, being the mid-range offering comes with features including Cheese Shutter - the voice command used for capturing photos, Quick Switch Hot Key for switching between the two SIM cards effortlessly, Smart Forwarding feature to manage calls between the SIM cards, QuickTranslator for translating between languages and Live LG Mobile TV for watching over 50+ live TV channels.
At the same time, the entry-level Optimus L3 2 comes with features such as Smart Forwarding, QuickMemo for taking notes on captured documents or photos with their fingers and instantly share with colleagues as an attachment or URL, Safety Care feature, which enables to contact selected persons in case of emergency via Emergency Call Forwarding and My Location Notice.
