In a recent devlopment, Korean phone marker LG has announced that their latest handet in the Optimus series -- LG Optimus L3 Dual E405 -- has been launched in India via online shopping website Flipkart.
The latest handet has come with a price tag of Rs 8,299, and it is basically the dual-SIM version (GSM-GSM) of the Optimus L3, which was launched in India around July.
As far as the specs and features of the device is concerned, LG Optimus L3 Dual will run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system and will come powered by a Cortex A5 800MHz processor. It will sport a 3.2-inch TFT display with a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. Further, Optimus L3 will feature a 3.2MP camera, 384MB of RAM, 1GB of internal storage and microSD card slot that supports storage up to 32GB.
On the connectivity front, the Optimus L3 Dual will support Wi-Fi, 3G, Blutooth and USB 2.0. Additionally, the device will come loaded with a 1,500 mAh battery, which is rated to deliver 17 hours on 2G and 10 hours on 3G.
Furthermore, Optimus L3 Dual will come preloaded with a number of applications including YouTube, Android Market, Google+, Gmail, Latitude, News and Weather Update, Software Update, Google Talk, Google, Gmail Sync, AOL, Yahoo, Hot Mail and LGE Mail.
Reportedly, the Flipkart website is not displaying the exact availability of the device right now, but promises 'delivery' in seven to nine days. At the same time, LG has also not yet officially announced the availability of the device in India.
Observing the current market situation, the smartphone world is dominated by Samsung, Micromax and Nokia in India, however with the new Optimus L3 Dual, LG looks to tap the growing dual-SIM smartphone market. Moreover, it is a budget smartphone with decent specs for a consumer who's is looking to opt for a handset besides the Galaxy Y Duos and Galaxy Ace Duos.
