LG Optimus LTE is said to be equipped with a powerful 1.5 GHz Dual Core Qualcomm MSM8660 Snapdragon processor and it can be categorized as a high end, high definition handset. The gigantic LG Optimus LTE has a very big display as well measuring 4.5 inches. It's this LCD IPS display which makes Optimus LTE, LG's first HD handset because the screen resolution is about 1280 x 720 pixels. The DLNA compatible LTE also feature direct hi-speed WiFi and MHL and is very likely to be 3G compatible. The handset will be running in the Google's Android v2.3.5 Gingerbread Operating System, according to reports.
The coolest fact about LTE model is that it's OS is upgradable. The Gingerbread OS can be upgraded to the Android Ice-Cream Sandwich version soon after the Sandwich is launched. Optimus LTE will also be featuring Mobile Internet TV as well. The RAM size is 1 GB which makes it pretty obvious that LTE will be a powerful super fast performer, if you take into account its powerhouse of a processor as well.
A lot of speculations are there about the camera specifications. Reportedly Optimus LTE will be equipped with primary and secondary cameras; the primary being of 8 Megapixels and the secondary is said to be of 1.3 Megapixels. The primary 8 Megapixel camera is speculated to be capable of full HD 1080p video recording and video conferencing is another obvious feature.
Latest reports claim that there have been suggestions and plans about launching this behemoth sometime next month. But they haven't been confirmed yet. There are also speculations that Optimus LTE will be limited only to US and Korea for sometime after its launch.
Fans of the hugely successful video game franchise by Capcom called Street Fighter will also be pleased to know that LG Optimus LTE will feature Street Fighter IV in HD. The price details of the LG Optimus LTE are still not known but is expected to have price in India more than Rs 18,000/-.
