LG Optimus Vu smartphone with a stylus
LG is all set to cheer up the phablet market with its new gadget LG Optimus Vu with a stylus. A nice and easy to handle stylus is the Impressive and attractive element apart from its L-series styling. This Android powered phablet runs on Qualcomm processor. Let us take a look of some of the specifications of LG Optimus Vu which we could confirm as of now.
It would be 0.33 inch thick, 5.5 inches tall and 3.5 inches wide. It weighs around 6.08 ounces making it comfortable to carry along, as well. If you compare the dimensions of a smartphone, this is a little bit larger in size but fits comfortably within one’s hand. Though it is bigger, it is a slim and light weight phone.
LG Optimus Vu is powered by dual core Qualcomm processor at 1.5GHz clock speed. Users cannot feel any noticeable lag while switching between applications making it a fast responsive handset. Proper assistance to handset speed is offered by 1GB of RAM.
The Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system delivers a user friendly platform for carrying out the device actions smoothly with the aid of inbuilt features and accessibility to latest apps. LG has promised an ICS update soon to boost up the gadget efficiency, but it is not clear as when it will take place. Considering the software side, LG has included a lot of interesting apps preloaded like Office document editor, a video editor, eBook reader, a couple of NFC apps, a Backup app and a lot more adding to ease of use in managing day to day tasks.
LG Optimus Vu features a HD-IPS LCD of 5 inches with 1024 x 768 pixel resolution and the screen looks simply good with an unusual 4:3 aspect ratio giving more room for reading purposes. LG Optimus Vu is NFC enabled. It comes with an 8-megapixel Superb camera for capturing favourite pictures, as well.
Last but not the least; stylus is the key element of the device enabling you to create multi-page notes including images and text. Quick access to drawing is made possible by just hitting the QuickMemo hotkey. It can be hold on easily as it has enough thickness. You have to carry it along separately as there is no slot provided for that. The phablet package is quite unusual including – manuals, a charger, in-ear headset, a microUSB cable, a SIM removal tool, and the LG Rubberdium stylus. Price details are yet to be confirmed.
