It's a known fact that LG is preparing to launch the G3 flagship handset on July 21 in Mumbai. Over the past few days, the company has extensively teased the Galaxy S5 rival on its Facebook and Twitter, respectively. Although the handset is yet to go official, the big-ticket phone has been tipped to launch at a price point of Rs. 55,000 by a leading Mumbai-based retailer.
According to the retailer, the 32GB variant of LG G3 will cost users Rs. 49,999 alongside the MRP of Rs. 55,000 for 32GB variant with 3GB of RAM, mobile retailer Mahesh Telecom posted a link on its Facebook page.
Additionally, the premium phone will come with a free Quick Window case worth Rs. 3,499, a Rs. 5,000 redemption voucher on purchase of the G Watch, as well as Rs. 6,000 worth service redemption voucher on screen damage. Expect the device to go on sale starting July 21.
Moreover, the Facebook page also shows a banner image of soon-to-be launched collector's edition of the LG G3. Apparently, LG has roped Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan to promote the G3 in the country. The South Korean giant is releasing a limited Big B edition of the smartphone, which will come with Big B's signature.
LG G3 - Highlighted Specifications
Originally announced in May this year, the LG G3 will be the second handset to arrive in India with 2K resolution display. The handset has a 5.5-inch 2,560 x 1,440 Quad HD display, resulting in an incredibly high pixel density of 538ppi.
The premium phone sports slim bezels around all sides of the screen. The LG G3 is stuffed with a quad-core 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, 2GB or 3GB of RAM, and 16GB or 32GB of storage with a microSD card support (upto 128GB).
Unlike last year's G2, the G3 features a removable rear facing casing, allowing users to easily swap out the included removable 3,000mAh battery. The handset also comes with a 13-megapixel shooter features advanced optical image stabilization, Laser Auto Focus for quicker focusing, and dual LED flash.
Also, add a 2.1MP front-facing shooter. The phone runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat with LG's new UI slapped on top. Around the globe the LG G3 is offered in Metallic Black, Silk White, Shine Gold, Moon Violet, and Burgundy Red.
