Low Cost iPhone Leaks Touting Cheap Plastic Rear Shell

Apple ‘affordable' iPhone has once again managed to surprise every one. The alleged image of the device has been out on the internet. It is the same source (via Tactus), who recently leaked an unofficial image of the iPad 5.

Going by the first look of the so-called ‘cheap ‘iPhone, it is completely made form polycarbonate plastic. Remember early generation Macbook? One cannot say how the front end of the handset looks, but the rear back comes with a camera, microphone, and flash.

Even volume rocker is clearly visible. This very iPhone looks ultra glowy to eyes. The quality of the handset does look pathetic. The same source also informs that the ‘cheap' variant of the iPhone will arrive in multiple colours besides typical Black and White.

In terms of internal specifications, the device will pack Apple A5 processor, 1GB of RAM, a 5-mega pixel rear camera instead of an 8-mega pixel camera and a 3.5-inch Retina Display. The handset is pegged for August launch, as per various reports. It is to be seen whether Apple will succeed in making a mass device like the upcoming ‘affordable' iPhone.

For the first time Apple will copy Samsung by going affordable. Some analysts are saying that with the coming of cheap iPhone; the exclusivity enjoyed by Apple until now, will dent company's brand name. While others say that it is a good move to please shareholders. Currently Apple shares hit lowest level since 2011. On the other hand, Google has witnessed steep rise in its share price.
