The Nokia EOS is touted to be the most advanced Camera phone to be announced on July 11. The Finnish giant has already started creating buzz via its Blog.
The device will have a 41-mega pixel camera sensor fitted inside. And this is no more a secret. Whether the phone comes with a metallic rear back or polycarbonate plastic body is yet to be answered by Nokia.
Till now, it was said that Nokia EOS will be the final name of so -called WP8 powered camera phone. Now according to Twitter sensation @evleaks, Nokia is said to officially call its 41MP camera phone as Lumia 1020. It is largely believed that the name Nokia Lumia 1020 syncs with Lumia 920 perfectly. As per speculation, the Lumia 1020 will be similar to Lumia 920 in terms of design and build quality.
Earlier in the year, we were expecting to see Lumia 1020 to be unveiled at MWC. Back in February, a site called MobileGeeks.de had published a report saying that Nokia could announce EOS as Lumia 1000. The site published a snapshot (Lumia 1000) that was visible in a China Mobile database.
The release date of Nokia EOS is around the corner. According to a report, the camera phone will arrive with a quad core processor. Well, Microsoft is yet to announce GDR 3 update and we could see the official announcement later in a day.
Nokia Lumia 1020 will feature a 41MP rear facing camera with Xenon flash, and Nokia Pro Camera. The device will have 32GB of native storage mostly because there is no microSD slot on the phone. The Lumia 1020 should have a 4.5 inch PureMotion HD+ display with OLED screen having resolution of 768 x 1280 pixels. Windows Phone 8 version will be pre-installed.
Nokia has been a front runner when it comes to promoting smart camera technology. We have seen the Finish giant launched device like 808 PureView in the past. This year, the coming of Lumia 925 surprised everyone. With the coming of Nokia Lumia 920 in the market sometime later this year; other players such as Samsung and Sony have already started taking action. Stay tuned to GizBot.
