Meizu MX4 Pro Announced With High-End Hardware Including Fingerprint Sensor

One of the highly awaited smartphones so far from the Chinese smartphone maker Meizu - the MX4 Pro has been officially announced in the native land. The device which was rumored to be a powerhorse will come with no surprise as it features a heavy hardware and software components. The MX4 Pro sales is reportedly said to start from December 6 in China with a base price of $410 (Approx. Rs. 25,479).

Meizu MX4 Pro: Key Specifications

The device as expected has been revealed featuring a 5.5-inch Sharp-made display that flaunts a screen resolution of 2560 x 1536 pixels that translates to pixel density of 542ppi. What is even impressive is the fact that it features narrow bezels that is pretty thin at just 2.8mm.

It is quite surprising that under the hood of the Meizu MX4 Pro, you will find Samsung Exynos 5430 octa core chipset. It uses a mixture of a quad-core 2.0GHz Cortex-A15 and a quad-core 1.5GHz Cortex-A7 CPU coupled with 3GB of RAM and Mali-T628 MP6 GPU. The phone runs Flyme 4.0 based on Android 4.4 KitKat.

The Meizu MX4 Pro would be offered in three variants depending on the internal storage. Thus, you will get an options of 16GB, 32GB and 64GB flavors but there's no microSD card slot available.

At the camera front, the MX4 Pro employs the 20.7MP f/2.2 Sony-made camera with IMX220 Exmor RS sensor with dual LED flash. Up front, the phone comes attached with a 5MP f/2.2 selfie camera featuring the OmniVision OV5693 sensor. Thus, even in the imaging segment, the Meizu MX4 Pro has an incredible features to offer.

The most awaited handset by the fans also uses high-end connectivity options like NFC, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.0, TD-LTE and FDD-LTE networks. However, there's no IR blaster.

Also an addition of the fingerprint sensor embedded in the home button below the display makes the device more potential candidate to battle against the likes of Galaxy S5 or even iPhone 6 for that matter. The fingerprint technology behind it is called mTouch and the sensor is covered with Sapphire glass and features a stainless steel metal ring. Meizu says the response time is 0.5s and the identification angle is 360 degrees. The phone is powered by a 3350mAh battery.

However, the company is yet to announce the pricing of the device for the international market and it is yet to be now whether the smartphone will be shipped to India as well or not.
