India based manufacturer, Micromax possibly seem to be on the most aggressive move to entice the market sales in the Indian smartphone arena from the global rivals prevailing in the market including Samsung, Nokia and HTC. Aiming to tap the budget smartphone market of the nation, the company has already launched Canvas A100, its first phablet released in August with Android 4.0 ICS and dual SIM support. Following that, the company also launched the successor of the same in less than two months time – the Micromax A110 Canvas 2.
Now, the strong growing manufacturer is in news again for another 5-inch phablet device which has appeared on a reputed online shopping site HomeShop18. The all new Micromax 3G Android Full Touch Phone With Wi-Fi – A101.
While, no official announcement has been made by the manufacturer for the new smartphone, however, the listing suggests that the A101 will be available at a price of Rs 9,999 running on Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich, boasting a 5.2 inch TFT Capacitive touch screen along with a 480 × 800 pixels WVGA resolution, housing a 5 MP rear camera with LED flash and front camera for video calling, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, micro USB.
Meanwhile, the processor of the handset is still unknown, although, it is informed to be Dual-SIM, 3G enabled phone with 1.2 GB free on board storage and micro SD card slot expandable up to 32 GB.
Further, Micromax A101 will also include features like music, video player and wireless FM Radio and the handset will flaunt a dimension of 148 x 79 x 10.3 mm and 168 gm of weight, accompanied with Li-Ion 2000 mAh battery to deliver 6 – 7 hrs of talk time and 350 – 420 hrs of standby time.
Also, Gizbot has learnt from a source familiar to the matter that the handset will be released in the market in next week.
