Micromax has been among the first smartphone manufacturers in the country to capitalize on the rising migration of the user base from feature phones to smartphones. IDC data also substantiates the success of Micromax, considering the fact that the maximum growth in Indian smartphone category has happened 5inch to 6.99 inch category which has grown 17 times year over year and the phablet share has steadily risen to 30% of the smartphone market in 2Q 2013.
