Micromax Bolt A67: Top 5 Rivals With 4 Inch Or Bigger Display
Micromax has been putting up a great show in the Indian smartphone market and since the launch of the Canvas 4 phablet it has already come to the international highlight. However, the Micromax Canvas 4 was a bit highly price handset from the manufacturer but on the other hand the domestic mobile phone maker has left o rooms for complains against its budget friendly handsets ranging in between Rs. 5,000 and Rs. 10,000.
Recently Micromax has launched one of its phablet called Canvas Fun A76 at the price of Rs. 8499. While now another lower priced handset called Bolt A67 has been launched at Rs. 5,975.
Here is a brief rundown on the specs of the new Bolt A67 handset:
Micromax Bolt A 67 comes with a 4.5 Inches Capacitive multi touch screen IPS display which offers a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels and 196 ppi pixel density.
The smartphone runs on the older version of Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich and the device is powered by a 1 GHz Cortex A5 single core processor coupled with a 512MB RAM. One can also find a G-Sensor incorporated in the handset.
Talking about the camera, the Micromax Bolt A 67 comes with a dual camera with 2 MP Rear sensor fitted on the rear side and 0.3 MP on the front face. The camera fails to shoot in HD quality but has flash and video recording. The internal storage comes at 4GB of which 1.2 GB is alloted to the user but there is a microSD card slot that supports up to 32GB.
There is obviously a dual SIM support on the handset. Connectivity options include 2G (EDGE), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPR, USB and GPRS. Eventually, the handset is powered by the 1850 mAh battery which will offer 4 hours of talktime and 215 hours of standby time.
Conclusion and Competition
Micromax has a rich portfolio of handsets in this price category and moreover, all are pretty decent. The Bolt series itself has a pretty good featured handsets. However, this recent Bolt A 67 might face a bit of a problem because it lacks the 3G support in it which is one of the most important features that are searched by the buyers. Moreover, it also comes with a older Android OS version. However, the only advantage on the handset is the display size that is rated at 4.5 inch but comes with an average resolution. Thus the device can be contested on a lot of grounds but precisely, devices like, Spice Smart Flo Ivory Mi-450, Karbonn A11+, Samsung Galaxy Pocket Neo, Karbonn Smart A7 Star and Karbonn Smart A10 can be a tough competitors among others.
Here is a brief rundown on the specs and prices of the aforementioned handsets that will be against the recently launched Micromax Bolt A67.
