It has been long believed that later this month, Micromax will finally reveal the coming of Canvas 5 in the Indian market. We often heard that Micromax's next flagship phone might be introduced in the Hero series. However, according to a latest report, Micromax Canvas 5 A350 is said to be final name of yet to be announced handset.

The Micromax Canvas 5 A350 is expected to have a 5-inch IPS LCD display, having a full HD 1080p resolution. As per multiple reports in the past, including the latest one, the Canvas 5 A350 would be stuffed with a 1.7GHz MT6592 octa-core processor, backed by 2GB of RAM and 16GB of inbuilt memory, which can be expanded via a microSD card slot. Micromax's last Android-powered flagship phone, the Canvas Turbo A250, was panned by critics for not integrating a microSD card slot.
On the imaging front, the Micromax Canvas 5 is said to have either a 13 or a 16-megapixel camera shooter on the rear-back. Also add a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for taking selfies. The rear-back camera will be capable of recording videos in Full HD format.
Moreover, the Canvas 5 A350 is expected to support dual-SIM slot, now seems a possibility. The device will measure 8 mm in terms of thickness and weighs 190 grams, according to latest sources. The phone is said to be made available in White and Black colors, and will powered by Android 4.4 Kitkat.
The above mentioned specs appear to be close to media reports circulating on the web. Micromax Canvas 5 A350 will face tough competition from the likes of Gionee E7 Mini and Intex Aqua Octa. Both phones have been price around Rs. 20,000 price tag. It is to be seen whether the Canvas 5 would make any impact in the Indian handset market. Only time will tell.
