Exclusive: Micromax to Launch Canvas A115 3D by April End

India's established tech firm Micromax is gaining much popularity these days in the tech gossip world. It was just yesterday when the Twitter user MMXNNewscaster leaked alleged images and specs of the upcoming budget phablet Canvas A111. Well now, GizBot has been informed by a tipster about another upcoming phablet A115 Canvas 3D which was in rumors last week - it might get released by the end of this month - April 2013, hopefully next week.

 

The phablet shots were leaked by MMXNNewscaster lately, showing the About screen, back panel and 3D UI. Else, nothing was informed by the source, as you can see in the conversation below.

When GizBot was getting a confirmation on the specs, Android version and release date of Micromax Canvas A111, the tipster revealed that "Plans and priorities are for Micromax A115 Canvas 3D. Might see that in the month."

Micromax A115 Canvas 3D - What Specs to Expect?

Following the massive success of A116 Canvas HD, which is evident from the enormous sales and the growing demand from the consumers, A115 Canvas 3D would definitely come as a beefed up version of the predecessor. The 3D handset is rumored to come with a 5 inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels and 1GHz dual core MediaTek MT6577 processor.

Further, it is speculated to come equipped with 8MP rear camera with LED flash, 2MP front camera, 4GB internal storage, 1GB RAM, Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS and support to capture 3D imaging and video playback.

Moreover, the handset is already listed on Saholic with a 'Coming Soon' status and it is Canvas 3D is rumored to be priced within Rs 15,000.

What Else About Micromax Canvas A111?

Meanwhile, the source also confirmed that the soon-to-be unveiled dual-SIM Micromax Canvas A111, which looks to be a competitor against Karbonn A111 would come with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean out of the box and will receive an update of Android 4.2 later, just like Canvas HD.

Other disclosed specifications of the upcoming handset include 5.3 inch display qHD resolution (960 x 540 pixels), an 8MP camera, 1.2MP front camera, 2100mAh battery, Qualcomm MSM8225Q, 1.2 GHz Quad Core Processor with 4 GB internal storage and 512 MB RAM and Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. All at approximately Rs 15,000.
