Earlier this year, Micromax launched its operations in Russia with the launch of Knigh A350, Canvas Beat A114R and Canvas Social A94. Out of these, looks like Micromax Canvas Beat A114R has come to India as available.

Yes, we have just spotted that Micromax Canvas Beat A114R is selling on the e-commerce site HomeShop18 as Canvas Beat. The company has officially not announced the handset in India but the online retailer has listed the device at the price of Rs. 9,499.

Micromax Canvas Beat A114R features a 5.0-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display offering a resolution of 540 x 960, and churning out the pixel density of 220 ppi. According to Hopshop18 specs listing, the smartphone apparently uses OGS One Glass Solution Screen and will also come powered by 1.2 GHz Quad-core Cortex-A7 Broadcom BCM23550 chipset and a Broadcom VideoCore IV GPU coupled with a generous 1 GB RAM. Sadly, the company has offered the older version of Android in this phone i.e. Jelly Bean v4.2.2 and there is no information on KitKat upgrade.

Further, Micromax Canvas Beat A114R will come with an 8 MP rear camera with autofocus and dual-LED flash, alongside a 2 MP front facing shooter. Other specs include 4 GB ROM, expandable memory up to 32GB, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS, 3G support, dual SIM and Li-Ion 1900 mAh battery, which as the company claims, will be capable of providing the talktime of 5 hours and standby time of 150 hours.

Well, everything looks fine on the phone except for the missing Android KitKat update. However, if that doesn't matter to you, overall Micromax Canvas Beat A114R is a decent smartphone for purchase at a budget price. However, if you're looking to buy a 10k phone, do have a look at options including Moto G, Moto E, Lava Iris X1 and Xolo Q600s among others.
