After launching a series of smartphones in the Bolt line-up, the India based leading smartphone maker Micromax has now officially released it's yet another mid range device called the Canvas Duet 2 (EG111). The device has been listed for Rs. 15,990 and can be bought from the online retailer Flipkart.
The device was leaked a couple of days ago via a tweet which came from Manish Khatri from Mahesh Telecom. His estimated price of the device also in fact turned out to be real as he said that it would come at the price of Rs. 15,790.
Going by the specs, the Canvas Duet 2 (EG111) comes with a large 5.3-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) touch screen IPS display.
It is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon MSM8625Q processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) OS.
Photography will be taken care by an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera.
Connectivity options include 3G (EVDO /HSDPA), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS. Apart from that the samrtphone also features a Dual SIM (CDMA + GSM) support.
A minimum 4GB internal memory has been provided in the device but it can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card.
The smartphone measures 76.9×154.9×9.9 mm and weighs 164 g and is powered by a 2300 mAh battery.
The Canvas Duet 2 will compete with the number of other homegrown handsets like Xolo's latest Q1100 and Q1010, Lava Iris Pro 30. Even Motorola Moto G will stand as its most potent rival.
