Earlier this week, GizBot told you about the Micromax AE90 phone which was leaked. Not apparently the device has been put up for sale via third-party online retailer eBay.in at Rs. 9,299 online. But on the other hand, the same handset is being offered in Infibeam at a cheaper price tag of Rs. 8,999. Thus if you are looking buy a budget-friendly smartphone, you might want taking a look at this one.
As far as the specs are concerned, Micromax Canvas Duet AE90 comes with a 4.5-inch (960 x 540 pixels) touch screen IPS display and it is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor coupled with a 1GB RAM. It runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) OS.
You will also get to see a 5MP autofocus camera with LED Flash and 0.3MP front-facing shooter used in the handset. Connectivity options include: 3G (EVDO /HSDPA), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, and GPS. Obviously, it is a Dual SIM (CDMA + GSM) handset.
The internalm storage capacity is seated at 4GB of which 1.82 GB is user accessible. But not to worry, it is expandable up to 32GB using a microSD card.
It is powered by a 1800 mAh battery. The smartphone is somewhat similar to Canvas Duet 2 which was recently launched. Moreover, in terms of competition, the latest budget-friendly offering from Micromax will have to rival against a number of low-end Android smartphones.
But since there are already several Android KitKat flavored handsets available in India like the Canvas Unite 2, Canvas Engage from the same company, Lava Iris X1, Celkon A35K, Xolo Q600s and others, the Micromax duet AE90 will have to battle real hard.
