After the debacle of Canvas Knight A350, Micromax is seriously considering to get back in the high-end of the smartphone market. And now the company is preparing to launch the Canvas Gold A300 in India shortly. This could be the comeback phone for Micromax in the premium category.
Micromax's long-awaited smartphone is apparently right around the corner, and today images of what looks to be authentic press shots have made their way on to the internet. The leak comes via @MMXnewscaster which got hold of three photos of the smartphone from its anonymous sources.
The press images reveal that the Canvas Gold A300 sports a slightly different design compared to Micromax's previous premium phones, including the Canvas Knight A350. Although yet unconfirmed, there're talks that the Canvas Gold A300 will be made out of metal, instead of glass rear-back cover.
While the company hasn't revealed the details of the new device yet, there have been plenty of leaked bits of information. And many expect the new device to come with a 5.4-inch Full HD display, a 2GHz octa-core processor under the hood 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory, but only 25 GB of storage will be available to use.
One of the highlights of the upcoming Canvas Gold A300 would be its 16-megapixel rear-facing camera with Auto Focus and a single LED Flash. The phone will run on Android 4.4.2 Kitkat out-of-the-box.
The company is expected to unveil the device today during an event in New Delhi. Stay tuned to GizBot for more updates!
