Micromax Canvas Gold A300: Images and Specs Leak Ahead of Debut
The Micromax-made Canvas Knight A350 may not have caught on in India, but the company isn't dropping the idea of launching similar phones in the near future.

MicromaxCanvas blog site is reporting that Micromax will soon announce a brand new premium handset under the Canvas series. The first images and details of the specification of the Canvas Gold A300 have leaked ahead of its debut.
When it comes to specs, the Canvas Gold A300 will be equipped with a powerful octa-core MediaTek processor clocked at 2GHz. It is said to have a generous 5.4-inch Full HD display and will be only 6.9mm in terms of thickness. The phone will offer at least 2GB of RAM, 32GB of on-board storage, but only 25 GB of storage will be available to use.
One of the highlights of the upcoming Canvas Gold A300 would be its 16-megapixel rear-facing camera with Auto Focus and a single LED Flash. The phone will run on Android 4.4.2 Kitkat out-of-the-box. The dual-SIM handset is expected to go on sale in India shortly. It could be priced around Rs. 21,000 price bracket, rivaling the likes of Lenovo Vibe X and Gionee Elife S5.5.
At the same time, GizBot has received an invitation to attend the launch of a new Micromax smartphone under the ‘Canvas' series in the New Delhi-based event. The invite reads, "Witness our new Canvas" on Monday, June 16 2014. It is being widely speculated that the company will introduce the much hyped Canvas Gold A300 on June 16. This could be one of the possibilities; however, we advise you to take this rumor with a pinch of salt.
It shouldn't be too long until Micromax officially unveils its latest wonder. Stay tuned to GizBot for more updates!
