Micromax Canvas HD Shipping Delayed: 5 Viable Android Alternatives Worth A Try

|

Leading smartphone manufacturer Micromax has been making rounds in the tech headlines since quite a long time for its Canvas HD. With the hype created on the phablet, consumers have now started asking "Where is Canvas HD?" As of now, there is no clear information on the specific date of the arrival of Canvas HD even for those who booked it.

Canvas HD was announced on the eve of Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos release in India. With superior specifications and lesser price tag, the Micromax offering created a great impact on the Samsung phablet, however, it could not stay for a long time as Canvas HD went out of stock since the day of its release, while Galaxy Grand Duos is making scorching sales in the nation.

Gizbot has earlier reported that Canvas HD will enter the retail market by the end of this month, which is after the pre-ordered units have been shipped to the consumers. Meantime, Snapdeal as posted on its official Facebook page that they are facing procedural issues in shipping Canvas HD and the same has been communicated to the ordered consumers by both Snapdeal and Micromax. According to the post, the shipment of Canvas HD is delayed by another 10 working days.

Further, Snapdeal has also stated that as a result of the proposed Finance Bill at the Union Budget on February 28, 2013, the mobile phones priced above Rs 2,000 have received 6% additional price. Consequently, the price of the Micromax phablet, which was launched at Rs 13,990 has increased to Rs 14,499.

Well, Snapdeal is offering a free Carry Case worth Rs 700 for Canvas HD and those who have pre-order the phablet need not pay any extra cost.

But, as mentioned above, despite of all these offers and benefits, it would take 10 days for Canvas HD to start shipping. What about the consumers who like to buy the phablet now? It is definitely going to take more time for those consumers who want to have their hands on the Micromax phablet.

Micromax is not the only budget phablet with high-end specs. Following the launch of Canvas HD, several India based vendors have started coming up with their multi-core Jelly Bean offerings in order to counteract it. Hence, Gizbot has come up with the list of 5 alternatives that can be bought instead of waiting for Canvas HD.

Have a glance at the slideshow underneath to know the details of the Jelly Bean phablets available for purchase right now. Before that, here is a small recap of the specs of Canvas HD.
