Micromax Canvas HD Plus A190 Hexa Core Smartphone Available at Rs 13,500: What About Competition?
Micromax, Karbonn and Lava are in a continuous fight when it comes to smartphone battle in the Indian market. The trio tech manufacturers try to come out with an innovating device each time to surpass each other and gain the sales figures.
The Latest Micromax Canvas HD Plus A190 Smartphone Images
Nowadays, six core mobile CPU based smartphones are gaining grounds in the market. Firstly, Karbonn came out with Titanium Hexa, then Lava's premium smartphone arm - XOLO launched Play 6X 1000. Both are powered by 1.5 GHz Hexa Core Processor.

Following the footsteps, the dark horse of the Indian smartphone market Micromax has now launched its hexa core smartphone. Yes, the talk is about Micromax Canvas HD A190, which is already up for sale on e-commerce site Infibeam at quite an affordable price of Rs 13,500. Also, the newly launched smartphone is available in Black-Gold and White-Gold color variants.

Micromax Canvas HD A190: Key Specifications
Well, the latest offering from Micromax comes with a 5-inch display and 1280 x 720p resolution toughened by Gorilla Glass. Most importantly, just like the Karbonn and Lava Xolo offering, Canvas HD A190 is powered by a 1.5GHz MediaTek MT6591 hexa-core CPU coupled with a 1GB RAM.
Further, the smartphone runs on the latest Android v4.4 KitKat OS, and also houses an 8GB of on-board memory which can be expanded via microSD card. As far as the imaging aspect is concerned, you will get to see an 8MP rear camera with AF and LED Flash along with a 2 mega-pixel front facing shooter as well. Other specs include: 3G, Dual-SIM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 2000mAh battery.
Competition Check
Apart from the Lava Xolo and Karbonn pawns, Micromax Canvas HD A190 will also have to compete with the recently launched Wickedleak Wammy Neo Youth that also packs an octa-core chipset and comes at the price of less than Rs. 10,000.
Priced at Rs 8,490, Wickedleak Wammy Neo Youth sports a standard 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display, 1.7 GHz Octa-Core MediaTek MT6592 processor, Mali MP GPU, 1GB RAM, Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) OS, upgradeable to 4.4 KitKat OS, 13MP rear camera with LED Flash and 1080p video recording, 5MP front-facing shooter, 8GB internal storage, expandable up to 32 GB,3G, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS, Dual SIM and 2,220 mAh battery. Also the smartphone comes with an optional Aquaprotect Water Resistant Technology at Rs. 1,500 that would let the smartphone sustain for more than 30 minutes in water.
Spec-wise, Karbonn Titanium Hexa comes with a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD LTPS display, scratch resistant display, Oleophobic coating, 1.5 GHz hexa-core MediaTek MT6591 processor, 2GB RAM, Android 4.4 (KitKat) OS, 13MP auto focus rear camera with LED Flash, 5 megapixel front facing shooter, 16GB, expandable up to 32GB via microSD card, 3G HSPA+ (up to 42.2 Mbps), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS and USB OTG and 2050 mAh battery. All this at Rs 16,990.
Meanwhile, the Xolo Play 6X-1000 comes with a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display, 1.5 GHz hexa-core MediaTek MT6591 processor, 600 MHz Mali 450 GPU, 2GB of RAM, Android 4.4 (KitKat) OS, Dual SIM (GSM + GSM), 8MP rear camera with LED Flash, BSI Sensor (1080p video recording), 2MP front-facing camera, 8GB internal memory, 32GB expandable memory with MicroSD, 3G (HSDPA: 21 Mbps, HSUPA: 5.76 Mbps), WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, USB OTG and 2100 mAh battery. The price of the smartphone is Rs 14,999.
