It raining phablets in India and every consumer out there wants to own one. Well, it was Micromax, which created tides of excitement in the market with its budget phablet offering - Canvas HD. With the widespread success of this phablet, all the smartphone vendors in the nation have jumped into the bandwagon of manufacturing phablets with a good and impressive spec sheet.
One such India based vendor - Wickedleak is gaining increased popularity in the market with its Wammy lineup of phablets and tablets. So far, in 2013 alone the company has launched two Jelly Bean offerings - Wammy Titan, a 5.5 inch phablet and Wammy Magnus, a 10.1 inch tablet.
Well, Gizbot carried a report on February 25, stating that Wickedleak will be launching a Jelly Bean phablet to compete with Micromax Canvas HD. Now, its time for the information to add some more bit to the existing rumor, as the inside source has tipped that the device will be launched today itself, that is March 6, 2013.

Wammy Upcoming Phablet - Expected Features
According to the tipster, the phablet will sport beefed up specs including a 5 inch IPS HD display, Jelly Bean OS, MediaTek quad core processor, 8MP rear camera, 3MP front camera, 4GB internal storage expandable up to 32GB, 1GB RAM and a behemoth 3,000 mAh battery. Further, the source also revealed that the new quad core Wammy will be priced between Rs 15,000 to Rs 17,000.
The pricing might sound too high as compared to the other budget phablet offerings in the country, however, the 3MP front camera and an enhanced battery spec seem to be a treat to the consumers with a qaulity offering.

Further, the source concluded saying, that the brand new sizzling mid-range phablet will be up for pre-booking, just after the official launch and will be shipped a week after booking date.
