Micromax held on to its second spot in the third quarter of 2013 with about 17% in terms of market share, the native manufacturer is aggressively launching more and more handsets in the Indian market to drive the overall growth numbers for the phone market - given that there's still a huge potential for smartphone penetration in the nation. As per industry experts the company is making these efforts to bear fruit in the coming quarters in time for their upcoming launches.
Consequently, the company has added one more feather to its Micromax Canvas range today with the launch of a huge 6-inch qHD display handset - the Micromax Canvas XL A119. The phone has got listed on e-commerce site Homeshop18 at a price of Rs 13,990 and will be available for purchase from January 19, 2014.
While, Micromax has officially not announced the smartphone, however as per the online listing, Micromax Canvas XL A119 will come powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 6-inch qHD display with resolution of 960 x 540 and 183 ppi, 1GB RAM and 4GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD to 32GB) and more.
Reportedly, the new Micromax Canvas XL A119 will weigh around 180 gram and will flaunt a massive dimension of 165mm x 84.2mm x 10.4mm. Further, it will be a dual SIM handset with dual standby running on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system. Camera optics wise, Canvas XL will sport an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash along with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, 3G, Bluetooth with A2DP, 3.5mm audio jack, FM Radio, Wi-Fi and a big 2,540 mAh battery.
