Micromax had previously scheduled an event to launch its new device in India on September 1st. Nevertheless, the event has now been scheduled for September 8th. So far the company has not formally spoken about the smartphone that it is working to unveil at the forthcoming event. However, since the device dubbed as Unite Anthem A290 has already been spotted along the Internet previously, the same device is highly anticipated to launch at the consequence.
Moreover, the company also recently popped out an Ad campaign that highlights Anthem in the TV. This is quite enough ground to believe that Micromax will launch the Unite Anthem phone at the approaching event.
As far as the specs of the device is concerned, according to the Zauba listing, the Micromax Unite Anthem A290 should come with a Dual SIM support. It would sport a 4.7-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display.
Apart from that, Twitter user @MMXNewscaster had also revealed some of the specs of the Micromax A290. According to the trusted leakster, it would be powered by a 1.4 GHz octa core processor, 1 GB RAM and Android 4.4 Kitkat operating system.
Other specs revealed by the same leak include: Dual Sim, 3G network, 8 Megapixel rear camera (LED flash), 5MP front camera and a 2010 mAh battery.
Further, the Micromax A290 was priced around Rs. 7,056, when it was spotted on Zauba (import/export tracking site). But in reality it wouldn't be so cheap but you can expect the handset to be priced under Rs. 10, 000, which it releases officially on September 8th.
