With the debut of Xiaomi in the Indian smartphone market, it looks like Micromax is really unhappy as the new-comer has made a rocking entry in the low-end section. Moreover the Mi 3 which comes with remarkable specs and affordable price tag is what everyone is talking about.
According to a site, the upcoming device will hit the market at the price under Rs. 15,000 or most probably at around Rs. 12,000. However, details pertaining to the smartphone's availability and name are yet to be revealed. Obviously, the smartphone will be based on Android KitKat version.
As far as the specs are concerned, in it's exclusive story, Gadgetstouse says that handset will come with a 5-inch touchscreen display offering a full HD resolution and a said earlier it will be powered by Snapdragon 800 quad Core CPU coupled with 2GB of RAM and will run on Android KitKat OS.
Further the device will also bear a 13-megapixel rear and it might be safe to say that it would be capable of shooting video at full HD quality. A 5MP front-facing camera is what you will find at the front.
Other specs that the phone will be launched with include: 16GB of internal memory, along with a microSD memory card slot (64GB), and it will be powered by a 2600mAh battery.
Xiaomi Mi 3 has been pretty successful in India and the second batch of the device is due to go on sale in India tomorrow. The device's competent pricing and specs have made most of the domestic smartphone manufacturers pretty upset.
Anyways, since Micromax, which is India's favorite smartphone maker is already said to be preparing the device which will stand against Mi 3, others like Xolo, Lava, and Karbonn might also join the league soon.
