Micromax's New MMX 400R: A Portable Wireless Modem
Ever imagine if you could be able to take your Wi-Fi modem wherever you go and connect and surf the internet using that portable modem on your Wi-Fi device. Till now it was not possible because the modem needed a physical connection to your ISP in order to provide Wireless LAN connectivity, but it is now a reality. Micromax has arrived with a revolutionary device christened the Micromax MMX 400R 3G Wi-Fi Router that allows you to have a portable Wi-Fi modem.

You must be confused about the connection details right. Well here is the answer. The Micromax router is a 3g based wireless router. It is an operator free device. It works with any 3G SIM and harnesses the data transfer and communication properties of 3G technology to provide high speed wireless internet access.

 

Micromax MMX 400R 3G allows for seamless connectivity to 5 Wi-Fi enabled devices through its unique internet access sharing technology called Wi-Fi Hot Spot. It offers a range of 10 metres which means that any Wi-Fi enabled device can connect to the internet using this device if it is placed within a 10 metre radius from the mobile phone.

The new Micromax phone also offers an additional connectivity to a USB enabled internet device, in addition to five Wi-fi enabled devices, thus making it a sum total of 6 devices that you can possibly connect to the router.

As mentioned earlier the device weighs in at just around 60g and comes with an embedded Micro SD expansion slot beneath the battery along with the SIM card slot.

The router is aggressively priced at around Rs 4900 and thus is one of the cheapest ways by which you can carry your Wi-fi enabled internet devices on the go without having to search for Wi-Fi Hotspots in Malls and Public places.
