Micromax Canvas 3 and Canvas 4: A Look at the Top Concept Renders of Future Phablets [PICS]
These days, tech experts are not only restricted to reports of speculations regarding the global manufacturer's upcoming high-end devices. Besides the international rumors, the tech world is also getting acquaint with the rumors and renders surrounding the India based tech innovators. The fanbase of Indian tech firms is widening to such an extent that upcoming Indian smartphone models are now baffling with concept renders by various designers.
Micromax is a native manufacturer who has a good penetration into the Android market segment not only in India, but also in other countries including Hong Kong, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri-Lanka, Maldives, UAE, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Afghanistan and Brazil.
Further, the company has managed to grab the third position in India and 12th position in the world, when it comes to leading smartphone vendors.
While Micromax has several good device in its portfolio, the recent offering that has got fame to the company is Canvas HD - the quad core Jelly Bean based HD phablet priced at Rs 13,990. The Canvas lineup of phablets including Canvas A100 and A110 Canvas 2 were also quite successful in the price conscious Indian market.
With the unbound success of the Canvas lineup of phablets, the designers have come up with interesting concepts of Canvas 3 and Canvas 4 that may come in 2013.
As far as the rumored specs of Canvas 3 is concerned, the handset might have a 5 inch AMOLED display with 1280 x 768 pixel resolution, quad core processor, Android 4.1.2/4.2 Jelly Bean, 1GB RAM, 13MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, dual SIM, 8GB internal storage, micro SD card slot supporting up to 64GB additional storage, 1GB RAM and a 2,500 mAh battery. Further, the handset is also rumored to rely upon AVEA Engine, that enhances both video and images delivered on the screen and the audio output.
There are some speculations that also suggest a 6 inch IPS LCD display with 720p resolution for Canvas 3. While its too early to estimate the price of Canvas 3, there are some reports claiming that it could be priced at Rs 14,000 approximately.
At the same time, creative tech designers seem to be heading into the future as they have also come up with the specs and concepts of Canvas 4. The handset has been nicely predicted to come in different color options including Black, While, Red and Purple.

Further, it is speculated to house a 5 inch IPS display, Android Key Lime Pie operating system, 1.7GHz quad core processor, 13MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, 16GB internal storage, micro SD card slot with up to 64GB expandable storage support, 4G LTE support, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and a 3,000 mAh battery. Again, some even expect a 5.99 inch 1080p display on Canvas 4.
Some of these specs, it is clear that the tech world is highly awaiting to see high-end and advanced offerings from Micromax at reasonable price points obvously.
