In the past few weeks, Micromax has added many new dual SIM smartphones to its catalog including the release of Superfone A57 Ninja 3 and Superfone A87 Ninja 4 and more. Hence, it is clear that Micromax is expected to throw a tough competition to other low-cost Android smartphones in an attempt to take a large bite in the share of budget conscious consumer market.
While, there are several dual SIM Android smartphones in India with budget friendly price tags. However, there are few in the market which can give a tough rivalry to Micromax A25 Smarty. Lets check out the all major three competitors that might get an edge over the the newly launched handset.
Karbonn A5
Karbonn A5 houses a 3.5 inch capacitive touchscreen display with 320 x 480 pixel resolution. Running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, the handset is equipped with an 800MHz processor, 2MP camera, 512 MB internal memory, an external micro SD card slot supporting 32GB expandable memory and a 1, 420 mAh Li-ion battery.
Further, the Karbonn A5 has connectivity features like 3G HSDPA 7.2 Mbps, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n.
Being a budget smartphone, Karbonn A5 is priced at Rs 5,790.
Spice Stellar Craze Mi-355
Stellar Craze Mi355 features a 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display, an 800MHz processor, 512MB RAM, 5MP camera with flash, a front VGA camera for video calling and a micro SD card slot supporting up to 32GB.
Though the handset is currently based on Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, it is upgradeable to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich shortly. The smartphone includes dual-SIM connectivity, 3G, Bluetooth, WiFi and USB. The handset is loaded with a 1,420 mAh Li-ion battery.
Further, it also features NetQin Antivirus software and Vault privacy app bundled along with A-GPS, social networking apps, IM and music player
Stellar Craze is available for a price of Rs 6,599, which may not be too heavy on the wallet.
iBall Andi 3e
iBall another India based manufacturer released the Andi 3e smartphone early this year. This is also a dual SIM budget handset, which can give a tough competition to the Micromax A25.
Andi 3e has a 3.2 inch LCD touchscreen display with a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels.
It is equipped with a 650MHz ARM 9 processor, 3.2MP rear camera, 0.3MP front camera, micro SD card slot supporting 16GB and 1,400 mAh Li-ion battery.
Coming to the pricing, the Andi 3e is priced at Rs 6,685 approximately.
